Strength in Support
The fourth trimester of pregnancy is often overlooked as a critical time of transition. A womans' body has gone through tremendous physical changes, and needs time to recover. Meanwhile, there are all kinds of emotional and practical changes going on with a brand new being to care for! During this time of transition, I see my role as empowering and easing the minds of families by offering the informational, emotional support and physical support they deem needed.
How I Got Here
After becoming a mother of two, and experiencing a challenging fourth trimester with my first child, I discovered the field of birth work. I realized that having a Postpartum Doula, an objective and empowering voice, during my fourth trimester would have been invaluable in those challenging adjustment periods. As such, I feel it is my passion to help other women and their families navigate this unique time in their lives.
On a more personal note, I have been married for 16 years and have two children. I currently reside in Mebane, NC. I enjoy reading, painting and spending time with my family and friends.
